The Red Sea Experience

There is no better way to experience all that the Red Sea has to offer than to do so on board one of our luxury catamarans. World class diving and snorkelling, local produce prepared on board, gourmet style, and the spectacular sights of the Sinai Desert are all part of what is a truly unique experience.

From your vantage point aboard the yacht, you are constantly surrounded by the mysterious desert landscape with its sheer mountains providing a dramatic backdrop on each side of the gulf.

Red Sea Experiencie

Your sailing adventure takes in three countries: Israel, Egypt and Jordan. Joining the yacht in Eilat, one of the region’s most renowned holiday spots, your first evening will be a tempting taste of the week ahead. Moored in the marina, you will be pampered in true Yacht Club tradition and, should you choose, have opportunity to venture into the city to sample its exciting nightlife.

Next day we set sail for Egypt, in particular the Sinai National Park and Coral Island known locally as Geziret Faraum, 3 miles south-west of the Egyptian border. Guests will have the opportunity to swim and snorkel, where they will be able to view the rich coral reef and magnificent, colourful tropical fish, and also to walk around the island to visit the crusader-era castle. Contrasting starkly with the desert land region, the underwater scenes are tumultuous with brilliant marine life comprising hundreds of coral species and thousands of different inhabitants including the Green Turtle and Hawksbill Turtle.

On this two-day leg of the journey, you will begin to fully appreciate the beauty of the region’s underwater world. It is the world’s most northern tropical sea offering an abundance of marine life, some of it not seen anywhere else. Its shallow shelves and drop offs make it suitable for both snorkellers and divers.

Winter climate here is ideal with an average surface water temperature of 24ºC and air temperatures to match, whilst visibility remains good all year round. Sinai acts as a natural barrier to ensure almost perfect, calm conditions throughout the year.

Red Sea Experience

In Egypt we dock in Taba Heights Marina. Taba Heights is a sophisticated and elegant self-contained resort with a choice of restaurants, bars and shops. After dinner on board you are free to spend the evening exploring the rich delights of this special location.  From here we set sail at a leisurely pace across the Gulf of Aqaba.

The following day you will have the option of a full day guided tour to visit the spectacular historical sites of Petra; with a sumptuous lunch at a typical Jordanian restaurant included, along with a visit to an artisan craftshop. The view across the Gulf of Aqaba to the Sinai Mountains will leave you open-mouthed. As night falls, you’ll have a last opportunity to visit the city’s shops and its restaurants.

After breakfast next day, it is time to head for home, but not without another night on the Taba border and the opportunity to go into, and under, the Coral Beach National Park once more.

As Eilat appears on the horizon, so does the realisation that the adventure is almost over, but not without one more night in the marina and time to reflect on the experience of a lifetime.
