There is no better way to experience all that the Red Sea has to offer than to do so on board one of our luxury 60-foot catamarans. World class diving and snorkelling, local produce prepared on board, gourmet style, and the spectacular sights of the Sinai Desert are all part of what is a truly unique experience.
From your vantage point aboard the yacht, you are constantly surrounded by the mysterious desert landscape with its sheer mountains providing a dramatic backdrop on each side of the gulf. At night, as the coastline becomes a fading silhouette, the shimmering night skies become the focus, as you gaze up in continued wonderment at the ever-changing star-filled heavens above.
Your sailing adventure will take in three countries: Israel, Egypt and Jordan. Joining the yacht in Eilat, one of the region’s most renowned holiday spots, your first evening on board will be your first tempting taste of the week ahead. Moored in the marina, you will be pampered in true Yacht Club tradition and for those who choose, the chance to venture into the city to sample Eilat’s exciting nightlife.
Next day we set sail for Egypt, and in particular the Sinai National Park and Coral Island. It is here, on this two-day leg of the journey, that you will begin to fully appreciate the beauty of the region’s underwater world. It is the world’s most northern tropical sea, offering an abundance of unique marine life, some of it unseen anywhere else in the world. Its shallow shelves and drop offs make it ideal for both snorkellers and divers. Winter climate here is ideal with an average surface water temperature of 24ºC and air temperatures to match, whilst visibility remains good all year round. Sanai acts as a natural barrier to ensure almost perfect, calm conditions throughout the year.
In Egypt we will dock in Taba Heights Marina. Taba Heights is a sophisticated and elegant self-contained resort with a choice of restaurants, bars and shops. You will be free to spend the evening exploring the rich delights of this special location. From here we set sail across the Gulf of Aqaba before spending the night in Jordan’s Tala Bay, home to a brand new luxury resort complex and marina.
Then as a new day breaks, your captain begins the journey to Aqaba itself, the sparkling jewel on the Jordanian coast. Here you can head under the water and take in the coral gardens of Jordan where you can spy the rare black corals and huge Gorgonian sea fans. Later head to beautiful South Beach. The view from here across the Gulf of Aqaba to the Sinai Mountains will leave you simply open-mouthed. As night falls, you’ll have a last opportunity to visit the city’s shops, its restaurants or its casino. Or stay on board and relax.
It is now time to head for home but not without another night on the Taba border and the opportunity to go into, and under, the Coral Beach National Park once more. Yes, take the plunge for one final swim, snorkel or dive.
Your yacht is now making good progress. As Eilat appears on the horizon, so does the realisation that the adventure is almost over, but not without one more night in the Eilat marina. Time to reflect on the experience of a lifetime, to memorise each highlight in minute detail and to promise yourself that this may be your first trip aboard the luxury Club La Costa fleet, but it certainly won’t be your last.
